Not just during running, but AT ALL.

It feels so good to have contact with the ground.

My feet are getting stronger and so are my legs. When I go anywhere – I immediately take off my shoes. (and sometimes stand upright while I do my computer work – standing on the floor barefoot, scandalous!)

It’s a good thing it’s summer, because I can default to my sandals. it’s weird though. i have a very nice pair of Mephisto cork sandals, and I can’t even put them on. There’s a solid inch of cork between me and the ground. It’s like a foot condom! I have one pair of sort of “ballet” style shoes that I’ve ripped the insoles out of and I’m wearing around. There’s still a half inch of rubber at the bottom so ti’s not ideal, but at least my feet are flat.

I put on my favorite favorite boots the other day and noticed that my feet have spread so much that I don’t think I can wear them (not that I’d want to, with their hard soles and heels!)

The other day, I even wore my elf shoes on a trip into the city. I used to feel embarrassed about wearing them but I don’t even care anymore. I want to do right by my feet.

I do have to hurry up and design a line of zero-drop shoes before fall so I will have something to wear! :)
